Opening VIP Reception, February 12, 2010 6.30 - 10pm Public Reception , February 12, 2010 7 - 10pmPrincess for One F*cking Daybrings together a selection of Wulf Treu's mixed media, paintings, sculptures, and video installations describing to the viewer a fantastical and dream-like vision of what is means to be a princess for one day. Wulfs work represents a reaction to society and he uses literary, historical, political, social, and sexual references to powerfully display his commentary on the present.
Wulf Treu was born in Potsdam, East Germany. He attended East Berlin University of Art, where he studied Fine Arts. Treu escaped from East Germany in the early eighties and moved to West Berlin. He traveled throughout Europe and lived for a time in London and Johannesburg. In 1995, Treu moved to New York City, which proved to further inspire his urban vision as an artist. Currently, Treu lives and works in Miami.
